Think pink - take your summer drinking seriously with these roses wine

Best Rose Wines to Drink This Summer

As the days lengthen and the sun shines even serious wine drinkers begin to think pink. Rose, usually made from the juice of red wine grapes macerated for a short period with skin of color, offers a fresh crisp white wine with a fruity red. This is a perfect wine for summer and very versatile table. However, one of the disadvantages of having a serious pink dress, is that a lot of wine on the market is mass production, industrial, cultured, fermented with yeast factory and loaded with sulfites, artificial acidity and who knows what else? To avoid these additions are not very healthy and delicious to your bottle of rose wine, looking for wines that are grown in organic or biodynamic agriculture. Many winemakers who work this way are cautious about charging your wine with chemicals. Search a rose naturally. Is likely to be more dynamic wine glass ... and give less headaches when the sun rises the next morning. Here are a few I’ll be enjoying this summer.

2010 Kaiken Rosé of Malbec, Mendoza, Argentina, $11.99
Quite a bright cherry color. Medium bodied, with lively acidity it is packed with ripe, juicy red fruit – strawberries, red cherry and watermelon and has attractive floral aromas

2012 A to Z Sangiovese Rosé, Oregon, USA, $12.99
We usually think of Italy when we hear Sangiovese. Well, here we have an example from Oregon and pretty good too. It has quite a vivid pink color. Up front and fruity with wild strawberries, watermelon, sour cherry and lovely rose petal floral notes.

2009 Altosur Malbec Rose, Mendoza, Argentina, $12.99

2011 Muga Rioja Rosado, Spanish $12.99
This crisp, Garnacha-based rosé gets its appley edge from a touch of the white grape Viura.

2011 Paul Jaboulet Parallele 45 Rose, Rhone, Franch $11.99
With Floral And Crushed Red Cherry Aromas, The Wine Shows Full-bodied, Ripe, Mineral-driven Fruit On The Palate, With Tangy Undertones And A Note Of White Pepper. The Wine Has A Fresh, Lip-smacking Fruit Character And An Easygoing, Uncomplicated Nature That Makes It Pair Well With A Variety Of Dishes. The Wine Has Acidity And Tannins That Are Ripe But Firm; This Is No Wimpy Rosé. This Hearty Rosé Is A Winner.
